As Chess Club's next copywriter, you don't just think differently, you prefer to create a whole new narrative. You love the challenge of finding new ways to say the same thing. You know the rules but believe that sometimes it's better to ask for forgiveness than permission.
About the job:
- Become an expert on processing a creative brief - understanding the client's objectives, requirements, core messages, and target audience
- Brainstorm with other members of the creative team
- Proofread, proofread, proofread
- Work closely with art directors and designers to develop creative strategies and concepts
- Create campaign pitch decks and present to clients
- Outline how creative strategies align with campaign and strategic objectives, target audiences, and key messaging
- Take direction from clients/accounts/Creative Director
- Stay on top of creative trends, competitive work, and industry best practices
Preference will be given to candidates who can join us in person at the Chess Club office, located in Saskatoon, SK.
About you:
- 2+ years of professional experience in a writing role
- The ability to work with strict deadlines without compromising on work quality
- Writing, editing, proofreading, and presentation skills
- Creative conceptual-thinking skills
- Might have post-secondary education in communications, journalism, marketing, broadcasting, or English
- Motivated to consistently sharpen skills
