Description

Nakoda Oyade Education Centre (NOEC) is seeking a full-time Grade 9 Teacher for the 2024/2025 school year. NOEC is a K-12 school with approximately 275 students enrolled. The school is located on the Carry the Kettle First Nation between the town of Sintaluta and Montmartre SK.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Focus on improving instruction and meeting the needs of the learner
Nurture, support and guide young learners
Prepare engaging lessons and interactive learning activities/materials
Conduct formal and informal assessment of students
Incorporate appropriate technology and media in lesson planning
Facilitate learning activities both within the classroom setting and outdoors
Participate in co-curricular school activities
Promote and maintain high standards of behavior, respect and safety within the classroom
Support families with open, ongoing communication
Prepare course timelines and materials such as syllabi, homework assignments and handouts
Prepare lesson plans with clear objectives that follow SK curriculum standards
The successful candidate will possess an understanding of, or desire to learn about Nakoda values and will be required to participate in cultural activities.
Qualified Applicants Will Provide:
Proof of Bachelor of Education degree
Current resume with 3 professional references
Clear and current Criminal Record Check (CPIC) and Vulnerable Sector Search
Valid Saskatchewan teaching certificate
