The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
use appropriate teaching aides and techniques, in order to meet basic Saskatchewan
curriculum standards;
use a variety of instructional strategies to meet individual needs of students;
attend staff/community/school committee/parent-teacher meetings and in-service
workshops to develop a greater understanding of community aspirations and
improvement of personal teaching competencies;
participate in operation of the school extracurricular program;
other work-related duties as assigned.
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Bachelor of Education and a Saskatchewan Professional A teaching certificate
Excellent classroom management skills
Ability to teach students of varying abilities
Cross-curricular experience is an asset
Experience in Fountas & Pinnell Literacy (Leveled Literacy Intervention), Pearson Developmental Reading Assessments (DRA), Mathletics, Nelson Literacy will be considered an asset. Differentiation experience and technology experience and knowledge (i.e. Google Classroom) required.
Must be able to provide a satisfactory Criminal Record Check/Vulnerable Sector check
