Description

The readiness of our facility, in both function and atmosphere, is essential to the success of TCU Place. The Director of Operations is a key position on our executive leadership team. The roles and responsibilities of the Director of Operations significantly impact the efficiency, reliability, and profitability of TCU Place. We are currently accepting applications as we prepare for the retirement of our Director of Operations. Overseeing three major areas of the business, (custodial/conversion, maintenance, and security) the successful incumbent is an experienced, live events leader who can balance operational success with process, systems, and personnel viability. Looking ahead to the Downtown Entertainment and Events District, the Director of Operations will be a significant influencer with planning and ushering in a new, renovated building as part of a vibrant and future focused Saskatoon!

Some Major Responsibilities:

Directs the team that ensures building readiness and building atmosphere, inside and out.
Plans for related yearly operating and capital budgets in conjunction with Director of Finance and CEO, manages, reviews and forecasts associated expenditures, and monitors monthly.
Ensures the safety and security of TCU Place patrons and employees through the Emergency Preparedness Plans and robust employee safety training.
Identify, develop and oversee Sustainability initiatives for the venue.
Maintains current knowledge of equipment, technology and techniques pertaining to operational requirements and plans as they affect TCU Place systems.
