Facility: MENTAL HEALTH OUTPATIENT
Job Description: Screen and triage requests for mental health and addictions services.  With the aid of LOCUS as a decision making tool, the assessor coordinator will resource clients as appropriate to community and/or specialized mental health and/or addictions services.
Required Qualifications

Ability to conduct a mental health assessment of a client including obtaining collateral information from caregivers and families.
Bachelor Degree in Social Work, Psychology, or Psychiatric Nursing. Eligible for registration in their respective association in the Province of Saskatchewan.
Experience

Experience in mental health and addictions an asset
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

A demonstrated ability to meet and work with clients, utilizing sound judgment, tact, initiative and high standards of integrity and responsibility
Ability and willingness to travel and work flexible hours including evenings/weekend as required
Ability to accurately assess addictions and make appropriate recovery plans
Ability to administer and interpret various scales to determine a client's mental status.
Ability to communicate with and maintain an effective working relationship with clients from diverse social, economic and cultural backgrounds
Ability to demonstrate professional conduct and judgement and ethical behaviour

Field Hours
Preference for this position will be given to HSAS members in accordance with the terms and conditions of the SAHO/HSAS Collective Agreement. HSAS seniority within the Saskatchewan Health Authority will be considered under the Selection Criteria.
