Description

Job Summary:
The Recreation Coordinator is responsible for the overall direction, development, coordination, and evaluation of recreation programs. The position will plan, coordinate, and deliver a variety of community recreational, leisure, and organized sporting programming and activities for children, youth, and adults.

Responsibilities:
    Plans, coordinates, and delivers daily recreational programs and special events, including facility booking and usage.
    Recruits, schedules, develops, motivates, and evaluates training program staff/volunteers.
    Develops schedules for the various programs.
    Preparing policies and procedures for programs and events
    Evaluates existing and proposed programs, costs, and facilities and recommends to leadership areas for improvement, continued use, and/or inclusion in recreation services.
    Develops and monitors assigned program budgets.
    Coordinates and supervises special events, including scheduling facility use and transportation, processing payments for supplies and admission, and preparing and distributing publicity materials.
    Provides information and answers questions about recreation programming and services to the public; responds to complaints regarding programs, fees, and refund policies.
    Gathers information and prepares reports as directed.
    Tracks inventory of supplies and materials of the recreation program.
    Coordinates between programs and departments for recreation events and initiatives
    Monday  Friday 9:00am  4:30pm

Qualifications:
    Relevant recreational program coordination and development experience.
    Coaching experience.
    Experience preparing budgets and work plans.
    Computer literacy in Word, Excel, and Outlook.
    A combination of education and experience will also be considered.
