Description

Crown Career Pathways

Crown Career Pathways is an Indigenous internship program that has been developed in response to the Truth and Reconciliation Commissions Call to Action #92, which calls for increased employment opportunities for Indigenous peoples.

The program has been developed by Crown Investments Corporation and Saskatchewans Crown Corporations to provide a mechanism to bridge Indigenous graduates from eligible post-secondary institutes into permanent employment opportunities with the Crown sector, provincial government or the private sector in Saskatchewan.
Self-declared Indigenous, First Nations, Mtis & Inuit graduates, within two years following graduation, are eligible for the program. The interns are required to have graduated from a post-secondary institute in Saskatchewan as recognized by the Government of Saskatchewan.  The successful candidate will be hired for a one-year term at an annual salary of $56,000.

At SaskTel, we have a broad range of areas available for this internship. If you have interest and related education in any of the following areas, this might be the perfect opportunity to jumpstart your career:

    Human Resources
    Indigenous Relations
    Finance & Accounting
    Project Management
    Customer Service
    Operations
    Marketing & Communications
    Engineering
    Technology

What we are looking for:

Degree/Diploma/Certificate related to any of the above areas from an accredited post-secondary institute in Saskatchewan.
Strong organizational skills with demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize multi-task and provide accurate and timely information.
    Experience in researching business practices.
Demonstrated computer skills including use of word processing, spreadsheet and database applications.
Proven ability to work independently as well as in a team environment.
Excellent communications skills, both verbal and written, and the ability to influence others.
