Description

General Description:
The catalyst will develop programs that involve Pre K  8 students, Elders, teachers, elders and community members.  The Land Based Catalyst will co-deliver programs in local outdoor settings in a way that honors Indigenous cree values and ways of learning.  The programming will provide a culture-based approach to learning and activities.  The catalyst will work as a team member with the Cultural Coordinator, Cree teacher and the Principal.
Qualifications for Land Based Catalyst:
Cree Cultural Knowledge & a degree in education
Be able to plan, implement and report on a land based program for Pre K to grade 8
Successful experience with a land based program
*cree language an asset
Be physically active and able to meet the demands of all year-round outdoor activities
Be innovative and culturally sensitive as needed
All interested applicants must include three work-related references and a cover letter addressing the following points:
1) Highest Level of Education & Certificates;
2) Experience in cultural background and protocols;
3) Experience in leadership;
4) Experienced in working in a cultural capacity for a First Nation community;
5) Experience developing and overseeing a cultural program
6) Healthy lifestyle
7) Own a reliable vehicle and possess a valid drivers license.

-positive professional/personal attributes.
-creative and independent work skills.
-flexibility in the workday is necessary to perform the required duties and responsibilities.
-knowledge and understanding of First Nation Communities and their culture.

-minimum of a valid Class 5 Drivers License
