Description

Under the direction of the Muskoday Daycare Coordinator, the casual childcare worker will be responsible for promoting and creating a happy, loving, and nurturing environment for all children attending the center. Childcare Workers will create age appropriate programs that will encourage and support the well being of children by working with the children and their families.

Duties:
Assist with the development of an annual program for children 6 months to 5 years of age;
Plan, organize, lead and follow through with daily programs within the Daycare programs;
Work as a team member to create a comfortable and happy environment;
Direct and assist children with their everyday needs;
Maintain constant supervision of indoor and outdoor activities;
Work with parents in providing daily updates of their child(ren)?s progress.

Qualifications:
Certificate in Early Childhood Development preferred and/or currently enrolled in an ECE program or willing to take the training;
Ability to work with and build strong, positive relationships with parents, children, staff, and the community;
Excellent verbal and written communications skills;
Knowledge of First Nations culture;
First Aid/CPR Level 3 or willing to complete training;
A current CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check upon hire;
The successful applicant must agree to adhere to the Muskoday First Nation Alcohol and Drug Free Workplace Policy.
