We are seeking a passionate, energetic, and experienced Early Childhood Educator Educational Assistant (EA) to join our team at West Ridge Childcare Centre.
The successful candidate will be responsible for providing one-on-one support to a child with diverse needs and collaborating with the Inclusion Coordinator, parents, and supporting professionals.
Qualifications:
-Certificate or Diploma in Early Childhood Education. If you do not have any education, you must be willing to take classes towards ECE Level I. Preference will be given to candidates who have an Educational Assistant Certificate, Early Childhood Education Certificate, or Early Childhood Education Diploma.
-Valid First Aid and CPR certifications.
-Current Clear Criminal Record Check, Clear Criminal Occurrence -Security Check, and Clear Vulnerable Sector Verification within the last 3 months prior to the interview.
-Prior experience working with children with diverse needs is preferred but not required.
Responsibilities:
-Collaborate and communicate effectively with parents and colleagues.
Maintain accurate daily records of children's progress and development.
-Attend any professional appointments regarding the child's program (e.g., SLP, Behaviour Consultant, KCC).
-Ensure a clean and organized classroom environment.
-Maintain ratio and ensure the child is always supervised.

-Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
Work Schedule and Compensation:
-Hourly wage range of $14-$27.50 per hour, depending on qualifications.
-40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, closed all Statutory Holidays.
