JOB OVERVIEW
This job is in a high-volume, fast-paced setting, in which self-motivation and multitasking are key factors in this rewarding work environment. Assist with day-to-day operations, including, but not limited to, Freight coordination, receiving, load preparation, and report generation.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
Support the Project Manager in all aspects of the operation.
Maintain professional communication with our clients, site representatives, and carriers.
Work with the airlines to determine aircraft availability, configurations, and schedules.
Support and communicate with airlines and clients for the day of operations.
Liaise with site personnel and the airline to ensure all aircraft are fully utilized and cargo is loaded based on priority and FIFO.
Preparation and securement of all aircraft loads.
Create cargo manifests and disseminate them for all flights.
Create backhaul documents in FMS and coordinate the movement of the shipments.
Operate warehouse and yard equipment, including forklifts and/or loaders, to handle freight efficiently and safely.
Arrive trucks, sign off carrier documentation, and validate load information with DCL paperwork.
WHAT YOU BRING
Grade 12 or equivalent
2-3 years of airline or logistics experience.
Aviation and Logistics experience is considered an asset.
Experience with load preparation and load securement for aircraft and trucks.
Experience operating a forklift.
Solid computer skills, including proficiency in full Microsoft Office
Applicants should possess excellent verbal, written and people skills.
Must have a valid Class 5 Driver's License and reliable transportation.
