Demonstrate a highly developed Cree Cultural Knowledge base specific to the BOCN region
Extensive competencies in areas such as language, Elder protocols, ceremonies, Cree learning practices and land-based best practices for Pre-K to Grade 12.
Strong understanding of curriculum development, instructional strategies, and assessment practices.
Lead the development, implementation and evaluation of a comprehensive cultural curriculum that aligns with Provincial and BOCN standards, educational best practices and the needs of diverse learners.
Provide guidance and support to teachers in the delivery of high-quality instruction, fostering an environment of continuous improvement and innovation in teaching methodologies.
Design and facilitate professional development programs to enhance the instructional skills and content knowledge of educators, promoting a culture of lifelong learning among staff members.
Development of assessment strategies to monitor student progress and inform instructional decision-making
Cultivate positive relationships with parents, community members, and other stakeholders
Demonstrated experience in land-based education
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.

Professional Requirements:
Professional A Teaching Certificate
Bachelor of Education Degree
3-5 years teaching experience
