Saskatchewan Distance Learning Centre (Sask DLC) requires a permanent, full-time Communications Manager to join the Communications team. This position will be based out of the Sask DLC office in
either Regina or Saskatoon.
Reportng to the Director of Communications you will:
-provide strategic communications counsel to senior officials;
-create communications and marketing plans to create awareness of the services and programs provided by Sask DLC;
-handle media inquiries;
-lead a range of internal and external communication initiatives including wring news releases, planning media events, developing web and newsletter content and creating digital and video communications materials;
-work independently and as part of a communications team to plan, develop, implement and evaluate communication strategies and plans;
-project manage the day-to-day work the communications department, including all internal and external communication channels and coach and mentor the units communications consultant.
Typically, the knowledge and skills required for this position would be attained through a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism, English or a related field of study, combined
with several years of communications experience. Experience working in government and/or education communications would be considered an asset.
