Description

Role Overview:
Reporting to the Executive Director, the office manager supports the EFSK management team. This role oversees human resources, office administration, project coordination, document preparation, and acts as a liaison between management and staff.

Responsibilities:

Administrative Tasks:

Manage office operations, including supplies and equipment.
Schedule meetings, conferences, and appointments.
Handle correspondence, phone calls, and inquiries.
Human Resources:

Facilitate employee onboarding and integration.
Engage in performance management as needed.
Conduct orientation sessions and training.
Maintain accurate employee records.
Be the main HR contact for staff inquiries.
Approve payroll and timecards.
Assisting Management Team:

Provide administrative support to management.
Assist with project coordination and document preparation.
Liaise between departments.
Client Interaction:

Handle client inquiries and requests professionally.
Communicate effectively with clients, including challenging cases.
Collaborate with management to address client concerns.
Skills and Abilities:

Organizational Skills:

Manage multiple tasks and prioritize responsibilities.
Ensure accuracy in administrative tasks and HR documentation.
Efficient time management.
HR Knowledge:

Understand human resources processes and compliance.
Communication Skills:

Excellent verbal and written communication.
Strong interpersonal skills to build relationships.
Cultural Competency:

Commitment to learning about Indigenous cultures.

Qualifications:

Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or related field preferred.
Proven experience in office management and HR coordination.
Knowledge of HR practices and compliance.
Proficiency in Microsoft 365.
Experience with PayWorks or similar payroll systems is an asset.
Ability to handle confidential information.
Experience in customer service is a plus.
