The Learning Technology Trainer plays a pivotal role in training and assisting faculty and programs with the integration of established and emerging learning technologies. This dynamic position requires a passionate educator who excels in relationship building, fostering long-term partnerships with clients and assisting faculty and programs with the integration of established and emerging learning technologies. This dynamic position requires a passionate educator who excels in relationship building, fostering long-term partnerships with clients and partners. The ideal candidate possesses a robust technical proficiency across a spectrum of educational tools, including learning management systems, video conferencing solutions, media streaming services, and the Microsoft Office 365 suite.
The Trainer has a diverse teaching experience, and can effectively deliver learning in different modes, such as face-to-face, online, and blended settings, adapting to synchronous, asynchronous, and adjustable learning situations. A forward-thinker, the Trainer proactively researches and evaluates new technologies, assessing their potential to enhance educational practices. They are instrumental in collaborating with other departments and academic programs to pilot and implement innovative technologies.
Moreover, the Trainer is responsible for the creation and curation of comprehensive training materials, ensuring they are accessible and beneficial for faculty development. Through consultation and problem-solving, they assist faculty in overcoming challenges, thereby advancing the institutions Strategic Plan and the Technology Enhanced Learning Plan.
