Prepares food to the specifications of the customer.
Determine size of food proportions and ensure quality of food.
Ensure proper hygiene and adherence to food standards
Makes adjustments to food items to accommodate guests with allergies or specific diet concerns
Follow chefs instructions and help other staff members in the kitchen
Orders ingredients, spices and supplies as needed
Operates various kitchen appliance such as a blender, oven, grill, deep fryer etc.
Help in preparing a creative menu to compete with other local restaurants
Cleans up and organize kitchen before shift ends
Communicates with manager about how to improve meal service, reduce food cost and wastage
