We are currently seeking an individual to fill a full-time permanent position. The Maintenance Office Coordinator is an in-scope position reporting directly to the Manager Capital Assets and Property Services and coordinates services between tenants, housing authority staff and external contractors, to ensure tenant needs are met within SHA policies and guidelines.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
*Effectively assess and complete required clerical duties outlined by the Manager Capital Assets and Property Services
*Ensure all calls for service are handled effectively & efficiently: receiving, assessing, dispatching maintenance staff and/or external contractors
*Track and record all completed and outstanding work orders and provide a monthly report to the Manager Capital Assets and Property Services
*Effectively & respectfully communicate with tenants, contractors and SHA staff
*Maintain files and records in a current & accurate manner
*Provide cover-off for the Maintenance Office Coordinator(Field Services) during periods of absence, or as assigned
*Other clerical duties, as may be assigned by the Manager Capital Assets and Property Services
QUALIFICATIONS:
*Grade 12 or equivalent
*Excellent interpersonal and telephone skills
*Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel
*Excellent organizational and time management skills
*Working knowledge and/or experience dealing with the "Residential Tenancies Act"
*Will require a current criminal record check
