Description

Job Summary: We are looking for a Mechanical Estimator who will be responsible for the effective preparation of detailed estimates for Industrial Projects. This includes the responsibility for estimating major projects and contributing significantly to marketing the company and its services.
Reports To: Senior Operations Manager Accountability:  
Qualifications:
3-10 Years Experience as an estimator for construction projects
3-10 Years Hands-on experience with Industrial Mechanical construction projects or Construction In general
Relevant Degree (P Eng, EIT, Mech Tech) or Journey person certification.
Nuclear Experience an Asset
Experience with Proposal or Technical Writing an Asset
Knowledge of Code Requirements Ideal Position Requirements:
Positive, self-motivated, driven individual with a team attitude
Self-Starter who will strive to meet or exceed deadlines with minimal supervision.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, Adobe Acrobat and Bluebeam.
Knowledge of Estimating Methods, Software, and Data Basis
Experience Construction Schedules, Microsoft Project or P6 Primavera
Strong mathematical and analytical skills to prepare estimates and analyze cost reports.
Flexibility to travel to project sites throughout Canada.
Previous industrial site and project experience is considered a strong asset.
Effective verbal and listening skills. & Strong time management skills.
Working Environment:
Work is performed in an office setting. Some travel to site will be required.
