Number of Positions:8. The number of positions is dependent on funding received. The right candidate may be able to teach both an online and in-person class, which would increase their number of hours per week.
Employment Terms:
Contract, 14 weeks
Minimum 3 hours per week, up to maximum of 10 hours per week
Weekday evenings
Possible Start Date: September 16
Work required one Saturday, September 28
Possibility of contract extension to March 2025 (depending on funding).
Job Summary:

You will spend 1.5 to 2.5 hours per week preparing for lessons and 1.5 to 2.5 hours per week. leading classes. SEDA will provide you with lesson plans for the classes.
Responsibilities and Duties
Prepare for classes with a co-instructor
Adapt lesson plans when needed.
Deliverin-person speech and debate classes
Participate in feedback and reportingprocesses.
Responsible for creating a safe and fun environment for children grades 5 to 9
Qualifications and Skills
Minimum grade 10 education
Writing skills
Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
Digital skills - comfortable with technology
Leadership experience, and team oriented
Reliableandorganized
Access to computer/laptop/tablet and internet connection
Speech or debate experience preferred
Because this job involves you being in a position of authority over minors, a successful criminal record and vulnerable sector checkis required.
