Description

The Little Peoples Learning Lodge Head Start & Daycare is currently accepting applications for Childcare Worker.  This individual will be punctual, enthusiastic, dependable and motivated to provide engaged supervision, care and, support to the children enrolled.
  
Responsibilities:
     Implement planned activities to meet the physical, emotional and, social needs of the children in the program
    Assist in the preparation of daily, weekly and, monthly schedule of activities
    Assist with the development of culturally appropriate programs and activities
    Provide care and  engaging play to all children attending daycare
    Understand safety and emergency procedures, ensuring the safety of all children
    Knowledge of age and developmentally appropriate play experiences for children  
    Knowledge of childcare operating procedures
    Participating in indoor and outdoor activities with the children
    Assist with planning and maintaining an environment that protects the health, security and, well-being of the children
    Observe children for signs of potential learning or behavioral problems and prepare reports for parents, guardians and, other staff members
    Establish and maintain collaborative relationships with co-workers, parents and, children

Qualifications:
    Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant Certification (Level 1 or Level 2)  or willing to obtain the minimum requirements immediately
    Valid First Aid Certification and CPR Certificate
    Current Safe Food Handling Certificate
    Knowledge of Microsoft Office Applications
    Willingness to attend training to further develop and grow
    Decision Making & Critical thinking
    Empathetic and nurturing personality
    Commitment and dedication

Requirements:
    Satisfactory Criminal Record Check & Vulnerable Sector Check
    Valid Drivers license and reliable transportation, satisfactory abstract
    Three prior employment references

Hours: Monday-Friday 8:30AM - 4:30PM
