Overview
The Saskatchewan Research Council (SRC) is seeking an Engineering Technologist to join the Process Development team.
Accountabilities
Develop detailed mechanical designs and drawings using CAD software
Collaborate with engineers and other team members to develop design concepts and specifications
Perform analysis to ensure designs meet required standards
Assist in prototyping and testing of mechanical components and systems
Provide technical support to team member and clients during the manufacturing, assembly, and commissioning processes related to mechanical and electrical systems
Aid in the development of proposals and project reports
Qualifications
A diploma in Mechanical Engineering Technology, Engineering Design and Drafting Technology or Design and Manufacturing Technology (formerly CAD/CAM)
Registration with the Technology Professionals of Saskatchewan is an asset
Minimum 5 years of industry experience, preferably in the areas of mechanical design and fabrication
Strong understanding of mechanical design principles and practices
Hands-on experience with mechanical testing and troubleshooting
Proficient with Autodesk software (AutoCAD, Inventor, etc.)
Experience creating design drawing packages and interfacing with fabrication shops
History of working with electrical systems or panel fabrication is an asset
The chosen candidate will be required to provide an original Criminal Record Check that is satisfactory to SRC prior to the commencement of any employment duties. The Criminal Record Check must have been executed within the preceding 30 days of receipt.
