McArthur River, located in northern Saskatchewan, is the worlds largest high-grade uranium mine. The uranium produced at McArthur River is used for nuclear fuel products, which utilities around the world rely on to generate safe, reliable, emissions-free nuclear power. Cameco is one of the largest global providers of the uranium fuel needed to energize a clean-air world.
This is a 3-month temporary position.
The Role
We are looking for a motivated individual to join the maintenance team at McArthur River.
In this role, you will be responsible for:
Installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment in all areas of the mill complex
High voltage switching, overhead power lines, transformation and distribution, AC and DC variable speed electric motor drive controllers
Complete electrical work on a number of projects at McArthur River
Required:
Valid Saskatchewan or inter-provincial journeyperson electrician ticket
Five or more years of industrial experience
Familiar with high voltage switch gear systems and solid state equipment including programmable logic controllers, AC and DC variable speed electric motor drive controllers
Work underground
Work a rotational schedule and commute to site by aircraft
