We are currently seeking full-time Finish Carpenters.
What You Will Be Doing
As a finish carpenter you will be responsible for millwork and cabinet installation for Meridians residential and commercial construction projects. You will conduct other tasks as assigned such as drywall repair including mudding and taping, painting and paint touch ups, and a variety of final deficiency work. You will also be required to follow Meridians safety program at all times while working on site.
How You Will Succeed
You are proficient in millwork and installation of cabinetry. You are hard-working, reliable and produce quality work in a timely fashion. You have the ability to multi-task and shift focus multiple times in a day. You are a problem solver and detail oriented.
What You Will Need
Valid drivers license
Physically fit
Steel toed boots and own hand tools
Experience in finish carpentry
Previous experience in drywall installation including mudding and taping an asset
Experience in residential/commercial construction an asset
Ability to interpret construction drawings
Willing to work shift work on weekdays as site runs 2 shifts per day
Willing to work weekends
Good communication skills
Ability to multi-task and work in a fast-paced environment
WHMIS
Additional safety certifications are an asset but not required
