Established in 1991, Saskarc is a leading steel & metal fabrication company for large scale projects in Canada & US. Our projects includes custom & modular design fabrications and structural steel.
Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Supervisor, your responsibilities will include, but not be limited to:
Set-up and operation of FCAW, MCAW and SMAW welding equipment
Set-up and operation of Submerged Arc Welding equipment
Air carbon arc gouging, oxy-acetylene and plasma cutting.
Safe operation of hand tools such as angle grinders, files, hammers, etc.
Qualifications:
Journeyperson or 3rd year apprentices preferred
Consideration to Journeyperson equivalent experience and abilities
Consideration to entry level apprentices
Experience in rigging and safe handling of components
Ability to interpret blueprints
Skills:
Interpersonal communication skills
Physical abilities (stamina, excellent hand-eye coordination, steady hands, the ability to stand for long periods of time, capable of bending and twisting to assemble or disassemble, safe lifting practices)
Math Skills The ability to interpret sketches to calculate dimensions to weld.
Attention to detail The ability to noticed if parts are corroded, crackers or otherwise damaged. The ability to deliver quality product to our customers and clients.
