The Lac La Ronge Indian Bands Woodland Wellness Centre is inviting applications for the following One Permanent Full-Time position(s) based out of the Prevention & Recovery Department in La Ronge, SK:
The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties:
Counseling survivors of emotional, physical, or sexual abuse; residential school survivors and their families
Provide trauma-focused counseling and trauma recovery therapeutic services for children, youth and adults for sexual abuse, severe physical abuse, and/or witnessing violence.
Provide trauma-focused counseling and trauma recovery therapy services for children, youth and adults with Post Traumatic Stress (PTS) relating to unresolved trauma.
Facilitate support and therapy groups for children, youth, and non-offending caregivers.
Evaluate the needs of the child and family and provide appropriate referrals and information.
Maintain accurate and timely case notes and record of all client contacts.
Provide accurate reports monthly.
Perform other duties within the scope of this position as assigned by the Program Coordinator
The suitable candidate will possess the following qualifications:
Preferably a masters degree in Social Work, Psychology or a related field or a
Bachelors degree with a minimum of three (3) years of clinical experience working in child and youth counselling services with responsibility for providing a wide range of community based mental health services
Must be registered and in good standing with a license
