Description

The Town of Arcola invites applicants for a Recreation Maintenance Worker & Facility Operator. This position will be responsible for the upkeep of playgrounds, parks, sports fields and Prairie Place Complex, which houses the curling rink, skating rink, and the community hall. The general duties include running the Zamboni, ice maintenance, labour, building maintenance, and repair of municipal facilities and lands.

Qualification:
Arena Operators Course 1 & 2
Safety Courses - WHMIS, Standard First Aid & CPR with AED
(or be willing to obtain the above listed)

Experience in recreation facility operations would be considered an asset.
Knowledgeable and able to perform general maintenance activities.
Willing to work evenings, weekends, and on-call as required.
Ability to work independently with good time management and organizational skills.
Effective, professional, courteous and respectful communication with other staff and the general public.
Valid Class 5 driver's license with satisfactory driver's abstract.
Clean criminal record check.
