POSITION SUMMARY
As a representative of Agrocorp Processing Ltd., the Plant Operator is responsible for safely loading outbound rail cars and trucks and unloading inbound deliveries while ensuring the product meets quality and quantity specifications, applying Agrocorp's core values, practicing effective communications and superior customer service, and representing Agrocorp Processing as the choice for all growers in the purchasing area.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES*
Grain Processing & Quality Assurance
Fully understand delivery and loading plan.
Probe, take samples, making sure product quality meets contract requirement.
Unload/loading trucks, print and enter scale ticket.
Update inventory log.
Spot, clean, and load railcars.
Keep unload/shipped samples and assist with disposal.
Plant Operations, Safety & Upkeep
Follow cleaning schedule set by operators.
Carry out change over.
Read full evening shift report.
Carry out regular quality check and document in the shift log.
Report any equipment deficiency and mechanic issues immediately to the operator on shift.
Clean the plant office, cleaning house on daily basis.
Clean the external surface, truck scale and rail track surroundings when possible.
Always wear required personal protective equipment in designated areas, as directed.
Always follow all safety procedures including lockout tagout/hot work permit.
Assist during routine inspections and maintenance.
Ensure visiting contractors sign in on the contractor log.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Must be able to safely lift 23 kgs (50 pounds).
Must be able to stand for long periods of time, bend, squat, and climb ladders and stairs several times a day.
Must be able to work outdoors in adverse weather
CSA approved steel-toed boots are required
