Description

Thomas Circle of Care (TCOC) is one of the leading organizations providing childcare support in Regina. In partnership with the Ministry of Social Services, TCOC has been providing quality care to children aged 0-11 since 2013. TCOC has an exciting full-time opportunity for someone that is experienced and passionate to join our team as Outreach Coordinator.

Workdays/hours: Monday & Tuesday (12pm-8pm), Wednesday & Thursday (9:30 am- 5:30pm), Sunday (10am-6pm)

Summary of Primary Responsibilities:
-Responds to requests to meet and discuss new family intakes.
-Establishes relationships, builds trust, and provides guidance and support to at-risk children, families, and caregivers.
-Supports the education of children by attending meetings and advocating as needed for them and their families as the need arises.
-Facilitates and supervises visitations from family members within TCOCs (Thomas Circle of Care) facilities, family homes or other locations in the community.
-Handles / de-escalates problems, issues and emotionally or behaviorally charged situations.
-Identifies risk to the safety and well-being of the child and reports concerns to the Manager.
-Documents and process in-take, visitations, risks, and other pertinent information.
-Identifies and connects caregivers with tools and resources to assist or prevent escalation.
Assesses risk regarding visitations and contacts the Manager for on-site support as needed.
-Connects with other community-based programs and people in support of the children and family's well-being and participation and identifies opportunities for inclusion/support of the culture.

Formal Education and Experience:
-Post-secondary education with a diploma in a related field of study.

Certifications/Training/Associations/Permit:
-CPR-Level C/First Aid is required
-Valid Class Five Licenses
