Description

The North Central Family Centre is looking for a Youth Empowerment Coordinator to support the delivery of our After School Program that serves children and youth ages 6-17. We are looking for a passionate role model who has the ability to form positive relationships with children and youth encouraging and instilling habits for a healthy lifestyle.

Job duties include but not limited to:
Prepare and implement age appropriate activities, provide input to the planning of age appropriate activities have positive attitude that is friendly and welcoming, provide supervision of children and youth, participate and engage with children and youth at all times. Supports and maintains accurate and current file records on all youth and families. Maintains awareness of community resources and gaps as well as the socio-economic and geographical make-up of the community. Adheres to NCFC policies and procedures and meets all legal, contractual, financial and other compliance requirements of NCFC.  Promotes behavioral change and personal growth of children and youth who are having difficulties coping as a result of social, emotional, physical, or cognitive delays. Supports youth to achieve their goals using a strengths-based approach.

Requirements:
Criminal record and vulnerable sector check
Valid class 5 drivers license, and drivers abstract
Food Safe Handling (minimum level 1) preferred
Standard First Aid CPR-C & AED preferred
