The Medical Taxi Driver holds a key responsibility in providing transportation services and has a considerable influence on the discipline and well-being of a client.
The attributes of strong character, firmness, fairness and courtesy are especially important to the effectiveness of a Medical Taxi Driver. This position is a one-year term and for a casual position who reports directly to the Director of Health.
Qualifications:
* Must hold a valid Class 4 Driver's License and provide a clean driver's abstract.
* Will consider a class 5 Driver's License, however must work on obtaining Class 4 classification and provide a clean driver's abstract.
* Be thoroughly familiar with and abide by the relevant sections of the statues and regulations of the Saskatchewan Highway Traffic Act.
* Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all administration, clients, outside agencies, and the community exercising excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision demonstrating sound judgement and decision-making skills to ensure quality of work and meet expected standards.
* Able to assist client IN and OUT of vehicle and into medical appointments.
* Current CPIC and Vulnerable Sector Check.
