Description

Kitsaki Vegetation Services Limited Partnership (KVSLP) is currently seeking a Heavy Duty Mechanic to lead and manage service on various types of equipment in the KVSLP fleet. This is a permanent position located in La Ronge, SK.

Responsibilities

The suitable candidate will be able to perform the following duties local and, in the field, but not limited to:
Safely perform maintenance and repair on all KVSLP fleet
including feller buncher, industrial mulchers, utility tree
trim trucks, semis, crew trucks, trailers, skid steers,
chippers, and UTVs.
Service attachments and working tools such as blades, mulcher
heads, and booms
Diagnose faults or malfunctions using computerized and other
testing equipment to find extent of repair necessary
Operate and test repaired equipment for proper performance to
ensure work meets manufacturers' specifications
Utilize hand tools and specialized equipment to complete repairs
Complete job and all associated paperwork in a correct and
prompt manner
Maintain a record of all tasks & parts on work orders
Promote, execute, and adhere to the companys safety program
Maintain a clean work environment
Other related duties as assigned

Education and Qualifications

Must hold a valid Heavy Duty Red Seal Journeyman Certificate
A valid Drivers License, preferably a valid Class 1A
Experience with forestry heavy equipment
Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals
Collaborator with good communication skills
Excellent safety record
Experience in welding and fabrication is an asset
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision

Schedule
40-hour work week, OT after 8 hours per day
After hours work on a callout basis
Rotation of weekend work when needed
