Home Health Aide

Mosquito GBHLM First Nation is hiring for (1) qualified temporary full time Home Health Aide who will be working under the supervision of the Director of Health.

MGBHLN Health Centre requires a caring and compassionate Home Health Aide to work with a variety of patients in community. The Home Health Aide will be responsible for assisting patients with personal care and health monitoring and helping to maintain a clean home environment for each patient. The successful candidate will also be required to maintain accurate and updated records on each of their patients.

Qualifications:
To excel in this role, the ideal candidate will possess the following qualifications:
     High school diploma or equivalent.
     Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) or equivalent certification preferred.
     Demonstrated ability to provide compassionate care and emotional support to patients.
     Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
     Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.
     Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to strict ethical standards.
Duties/Responsibilities
    Client Support and Well-being: You may accompany MGBHLN nursing team on home visits where you will be responsible to assist with tasks delegated by the health care team.
    Personal Care: Assisting patients with personal care tasks such as preparing meals, bathing, grooming, dressing, and mobility. Your compassionate approach and attention to their needs will enhance their quality of life. You will spend time with the client reassuring their needs.
    Home Environment: You will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe home environment for each patient, including light housekeeping tasks, meal preparation, and promote a comfortable and healthy living space.
