Description

SUMMARY OF POSITION:
Kahkewistahaw First Nation is developing their Family Services Program. The Family Services Post Majority Support Worker works directly with the Family Services Team to support youth aged 18-26. The Family Services Post Majority Support Worker reports to the Family Services Post Majority Manager. The Family Services Post Majority Support Worker will support families and/or individuals mentally, emotionally, spiritually and physically. They will assist in the development, implementation, and evaluation of programs and services that address Kahkewistahaw First Nation community needs. The Family Services Post Majority Support Worker will follow all Kahkewistahaw First Nations Policies and Procedures.

REQUIRED SKILLS, QUALIFICATIONS AND COMPETENCIES:
1. Diploma or Certificate in Mental Health or Social Work
2. Additional Professional Development training and/or certification in Human Services field.
3. Must have good written and oral communication skills to effectively deal with band members, employees, external agencies, and Chief and Council.  
4. Must maintain a positive attitude and demonstrate a pleasant, courteous, and professional demeanor, while also being punctual, reliable, and committed to upholding confidentiality in all matters.  
5. Must be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines, possess excellent time management skills, take direction, and work with minimal supervision.
