Description

The Cosmopolitan Learning Centre is seeking Casual Support Workers. We seek a highly motivated, dynamic individual who has experience in supporting people who experience disabilities. As a Life Skills/Employment Support professional, you will be responsible for the implementation of supports in community inclusion through employment support and volunteer opportunities, life skills/social skills building, recreational activities, meeting personal care needs and providing positive, person-centered supports. The successful candidate will be responsible to transport individuals in their community in order to support the individual's goals. This role involves working with individuals independently, in teams, and flexibility to work in a variety of areas within the Organization.

Qualifications
1. Preference will be given to those individuals that have post-secondary education in a related field, and/or related experience
2. Previous experience in supporting people experiencing disability
3. Ability to establish and maintain effective and positive relationships with people.
4. Excellent public relations skills
5. Is enthusiastic, takes initiative and is self-motivated
6. Excellent organizational, communication and follow up skills
7. Is able to work independently and/or in a team environment, multi task and meet deadlines
8. Excellent ability to problem solve and make sound decisions in challenging situations
9. Knowledge of program development
10. Possess a valid class 5 Saskatchewan driver's license and a reliable vehicle for transporting more than one individual
11. Ability to go in pools/and hot tubs
14. Back-up support duties as assigned
15. Clear Criminal Record(must include vulnerable sector search)
15. Legally entitled to work in Canada
