Description

Job Summary: La Ronge Petroleum is currently seeking physically and mentally fit individuals for the position of shipping and receiving clerk. The ideal candidate should be capable of overseeing the ins and outs of merchandise, inspecting and verifying incoming lubricants and oil deliveries based on the pack slip or other relevant documents. The candidate must also be able to lift up to 50 pounds and place it in the appropriate storage area. Our company is based in La Ronge, Saskatchewan and we cater to customers throughout Central and Northern Saskatchewan.
Responsibilities:
1.Assemble containers and crates.
2.Record contents manually or by computer.
3.Prepare merchandise to be shipped and affix identifying information and shipping instructions if needed.
4.Supervise loading and unloading of goods from trucks or other conveyances.
5.Inspect and verify incoming products against invoices or other documents, record shortages and reject damaged merchandise.
6.May operate a forklift, hand truck or other equipment to load, unload, transport, and store goods.
7.Maintain internal record-keeping systems.
8.Keep the warehouse clean and organized.
9.Must have the ability to perform work-related duties outside safely and competently in adverse conditions, extreme heat/cold/ slippery conditions.
Qualifications:
Senior High School graduate or equivalent
Good physical and mental health
Capable of working under minimum supervision.
Ability to lift up to 50lbs repetitively.
Has the capacity to execute verbal or written instructions effectively and efficiently.
Demonstrates a high level of initiative, diligence, and accountability in the operation of the equipment and carrying out tasks.
With good written and oral communication skills
Having experience with lift equipment such as forklift, reach-trucks, order-pickers, and others would be an added advantage.
Detailed-oriented, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.
