Description

Heavy Duty Mechanic

RFNOW Inc. is seeking applications from motivated individuals to join our Construction and Maintenance Team.  As our Heavy Duty Mechanic, you will have the opportunity to be part of a growing team of technicians working to maintain all of our medium and heavy-duty construction equipment throughout the year.  You will be responsible for maintaining, repairing, and overhauling heavy-duty vehicles and equipment, ensuring they operate safely and efficiently. You will work on a variety of machinery, including plows, drills, hoes, and trucks.  This role will be ideal for a responsible, independent, and self-motivated mechanic who gets excited about being challenged with on-the-spot repairs at various field locations.

General Responsibilities
Inspection & Diagnosis:
Conduct routine inspections of heavy machinery and vehicles.
Diagnose mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
Maintenance & Repair:
Perform preventive maintenance and repairs on engines, transmissions, brakes, and other systems.
Replace or repair defective parts using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
Travel to various remote sites to accomplish field repairs on occasion
Overhaul:
Disassemble and reassemble heavy equipment engines and components.
Rebuild hydraulic systems and related components.
Record Keeping:
Develop and maintain routine and preventative maintenance schedules
Maintain detailed records of repairs and maintenance performed.
Assist in maintaining inventory of parts and supplies.
Safety Compliance:
Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
Participate in safety training and keep up with industry standards.
Teamwork
Communicate clearly with mechanical technicians and other team members providing support services during repair operations
Share knowledge and train technicians and other support staff members as required
