Key Responsibilities:
Vehicle Assessment:
- Examine damaged vehicles to determine the extent of structural, body, and mechanical damage.
- Provide detailed repair estimates and timelines.
Body Repair:
- Repair and replace damaged body panels, bumpers, doors, hoods, and other parts.
- Repair dents, dings, and other surface damage using appropriate methods (e.g., hammering, sanding, filling).
- Perform structural repairs using welding and metalworking techniques.
Refinish and Painting:
- Prepare vehicles for painting by sanding, masking, and priming surfaces.
- Apply paint coats, ensuring proper color match and smooth finish.
- Perform paint touch-ups and corrections as necessary.
Mechanical Repairs:
- Perform basic mechanical repairs related to collisions (e.g., alignment, suspension, cooling systems).
- Replace damaged glass, mirrors, headlights, and other exterior accessories.
Safety Compliance:
- Follow all shop safety procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ensure vehicles meet industry safety and quality standards after repair.
Customer Interaction:
- Communicate effectively with customers to explain repairs and timeline when needed.
- Provide professional and courteous service to maintain customer satisfaction.
