Description

Grain Millers is seeking an experienced HR Director(HRD) to lead our Human Resources department primarily at our Yorkton, SK while offering support at the Saskatoon and Rycroft facilities. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in managing unions (negotiations and labour relations), providing day-to-day HR and plant operations support, and executing succession planning activities led by corporate Human Resources.
This position will oversee daily HR operations, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, payroll, benefits, RRSP, compensation administration, and compliance with company policies and regulations. The HRD will collaborate with plant management to support operational goals, address workforce challenges, and enhance employee engagement and productivity. Developing, implementing, and maintaining HR policies and procedures, designing training programs while ensuring compliance with applicable federal labour laws, rules and regulations will be a key responsibility.
Qualifications:
    Bachelors degree in Human Resources
    Minimum of 10 years of HR experience, with at least 5 years in a leadership role
    Proven experience in managing union negotiations and labor relations.
    Strong background in succession planning and talent management.
    Excellent knowledge of HR best practices, labor laws, and regulations
    Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
    Proficiency in HR software and Microsoft Office Suite.
