              Job duties: 
-Prepare meals according to the restaurant menu;
-Perform additional duties assigned by senior cook;
-Maintain kitchen operations;
-Prepare food for catering and bulk orders;
-Make sure work area and kitchen is maintained in terms of hygiene and health standards;
- May clean kitchen and work area 
- May plan menus, determine the size of food portions, estimate food requirements and costs, and              monitor and order supplies 
- Check the quality of raw and cooked food products to ensure that standards are met 
- Determine how food should be presented and create decorative food displays 
- Keep a sanitized and orderly environment in the kitchen 
- Inspect supplies, equipment, and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards 
- Instruct other workers in the preparation, cooking, garnishing, and presentation of food 
-Order or requisition food and other supplies needed to ensure efficient operation 
- Schedule and supervise kitchen helpers 
-Oversee kitchen operations
