Description

Mainprize Regional Park outside of Midale, SK  is seeking The Manager of Pro Shop Operations is responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Pro Shop. The candidate should have knowledge of the game of golf and deliver excellent customer service, as well as business knowledge. The candidate is responsible for providing an exceptional guest experience through various points of contact, merchandising, pro shop retail sales, and guest reception.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Opening and closing the Pro Shop
Providing exemplary customer service
Sales/processing of frequent play memberships, green fees, cart, and club rentals
Sale of retail products
Booking tee times
Continuous restocking of Pro Shop products, supplies and retail products
Registering golfers for league play and tournaments
Organizing tournaments and event organization (signage, scoring, sponsorship, registration, advertising etc.)
Marshaling golf course
Work together with Greens Superintendent preparation and maintenance
Supervising Pro Shop staff
Daily cleaning and maintenance of Pro Shop
Following health and safety policies and procedures
Run a junior golf program
Organize and maintain golf lessons and any other programs
Performing other duties as assigned by the General Manager

Qualifications
Must be able to work a variety of shifts including weekdays, weekends, and holidays from April  October
Start date is weather dependent, anticipated to be April 15, 2022
Effective communication skills
Able to think & work in a challenging environment
Enthusiastic and interactive, enjoys working with the public
Ability to work as part of a team as well as showing individual initiative
Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions
Good knowledge of the game of golf, rules, and pace of play concerns
