Description

Main duties
    Perform regular maintenance and repairs on trucks & trailers, ensuring they meet safety and operational standards.
    Utilize mechanical knowledge to diagnose issues with truck & trailer systems, including brakes, electrical components, and suspension systems.
    Operate heavy equipment as necessary for repairs and maintenance tasks.
    Use power tools effectively to complete repairs, modifications, or installations on trucks & trailers.
    Weld components as needed to ensure structural integrity and safety of trucks & trailers.
    Maintain a clean and organized work area, always adhering to safety protocols.
    Communicate with drivers regarding repair needs and provide exceptional service throughout the repair process.
    Assist in heavy lifting tasks as required during maintenance and repair operations.
    changing tires on trucks and trailers.

Education and experience
    Secondary School-12 Grade
    1-2 years of Industry experience as a mechanic or in a similar role, particularly with trucks & trailers or heavy equipment.
    Basic welding skills are preferred but not mandatory.
    Ability to perform heavy lifting and operate heavy equipment safely.
    A commitment to maintaining high standards of safety in the workplace.

Salary
$34.50 /hr
Benefits
    Overtime Pay (1.5 times of hourly wage after 40 hours of working in a week)
    Vacation Pay as per Saskatchewan Standards (3 weeks or 5.77% of vacation pay)
