The IT Network Analyst works directly with the Technical Services Manager and the rest of the IT Infrastructure Team to monitor and maintain enterprise direction regarding Network system functionality and services. The IT Network Analyst will assist with design solutions based on needs expressed by internal and external users, Branch management, and other stakeholders. The IT Network Analyst ensures any points of interconnection to the 911 emergency response system are maintained according to public safety standards.
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
Maintain software and hardware updates for the various equipment
Troubleshoot and resolve LAN, VPN and WAN networking issues
Help assess current technological trends and determine organization/agency needs in order to lead the ongoing introduction of new technology and processes
Assess Root Cause and provide analysis documentation for service outage and degradation scenarios
Troubleshoot IT Tickets
QUALIFICATIONS
A Diploma or Certification in the Information Technology field with minimum 5 years practical experience supporting enterprise IT networks, or an equivalent combination of education and experience obtained in another suitable manner.
Experience with DNS, DHCP, VLANs, VPLS, MPLS, WLAN, and WWAN in High Availability configurations.
Experience with HP Aruba ProCurve, Application Delivery Controllers, Link Aggregation and Policy Based Routing is considered an asset.
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server, IP-based Storage Networks, and Point-to-Point Wireless Bridge technologies is considered an asset.
Class 5 Drivers License.
Knowledge of the public safety system is a definite asset.
