VL Construction provides farm construction services in Tisdale and the surrounding areas. We specialize in building high-quality post-frame structures, barns, workshops, and cold storage buildings tailored to our agricultural clients' unique needs.
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Construction Framer to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in framing carpentry, with a focus on agricultural structures. Travel in areas surrounding Tisdale, SK required, related to the job schedule.

Responsibilities

- Install window frames, man doors, and different types of garage doors.
- Measure, mark, cut and install materials to required specifications, such as posts, strapping, and bracing.
- Install trusses and purlins as part of the roof system.
- Measure, drill, and install wall and roof metal.
- Maintain a clean work area.
- Driving/operating and maintaining equipment (lifts, bucket trucks, skid steer, etc).
- Ensure quality of workmanship, accuracy and efficiency of all construction stages.
- Follow Health & Safety policies and quality standards.

Skills and Qualifications

- Physical stamina and strength required
- General understanding of building construction
- General skills and understanding of most common hand and power tools
- Comfortable with working at heights
- Attention to detail and accuracy is required
- Ability to work cooperatively and be willing to assist others

Education and Experience

- Experience in the construction or building industry
- Experience operating construction equipment is an asset.
- Valid class 5 drivers license
