Little People's Learning Lodge - Part Time Child Care Worker

The Little Peoples Learning Lodge is accepting applications for Full Time Childcare Worker position.  This position will work 3 days per week and will provide coverage as needed to the Daycare & Headstart programs.  This individual must be committed to the children's growth and development, be punctual, enthusiastic and able to work within a team environment.  

Responsibilities:
Implement and carry out planned activities that meet the physical, emotional and social needs of the children in the program
Assist with the development of culturally appropriate programs and activities
Provide care and nurturing to all children attending Daycare & Headstart programs
Understand safety and emergency procedures, always ensuring the safety of all children
Knowledge of age and developmentally appropriate play experiences for children  
Knowledge of childcare operating procedures
Participating in indoor and outdoor activities with the children
Assist with planning and maintaining an environment that protects the health, safety and security and well-being of the children
Observe children for their holistic well-being
Daily anecdotal records, observing and documentation of inclusion and intervention plans
Establish and maintain collaborative working relationships with children, parents and co-workers
Commitment to daily Daycare and Headstart programming
Willingness to continually seek professional improvements with education and training

Requirements:
Early Childhood Education (ECE) Assistant Certification (Level 1 or Level 2)  or willing to obtain the minimum requirements immediately
Willingness to attend training to further develop and grow
Decision Making & Critical thinking
Empathetic and nurturing personality
Planning and organizing of activities
Valid First Aid Certification and CPR Certificate or willing to complete
Safe Food Handling Certificate or willing to complete
