The Town of Pense is seeking a full-time permanent foreperson to manage and oversee the maintenance and operations of the public works department. This is both a supervisory and hands on role that ensures the efficient functioning of water & wastewater systems and infrastructure, roads, and equipment.    

Key Responsibilities
Leadership and Supervision: Direct, manage, and monitor Public Works staff. Plan daily operations and ensure all equipment is maintained and operating effectively.
Water and Wastewater Operations: daily checks of water works and lift station, system maintenance, and permit compliance and reporting.
Road and Infrastructure Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of municipal roads, alleys, parks, and municipal buildings. Conduct routine inspections and complete minor maintenance.
Equipment Operation: Operate and maintain equipment as needed, such as grader, tractors, mowers and other municipal machinery.
Budget and Planning: Assist the CAO in preparing the departmental budget, monitor expenses, and ensure operations are within approved policies and procedures.
Reporting and Administration: Prepare monthly reports for Council, attend Council meetings, and keep accurate records.
Health and Safety: Ensure compliance with Occupational Health and Safety regulations, provide safety training for staff, and investigate any workplace incidents.
Minimum Class 5 Drivers license, Class 3A considered an asset or willingness to achieve.
Level 1 Certification Water Treatment & Distribution and Wastewater or willingness to achieve.
