CHEP is looking to build a small team of casual/on-call drivers to fill in when regular drivers are unavailable. Reporting to the Operations Manager, drivers will be responsible for transporting food and supplies to various community programs, schools, and partner organizations across Saskatoon. Start date is as soon as possible.
Typical Schedule: Shifts (M-F) generally start in the morning and finish in the early afternoon, with pick-ups and deliveries to multiple locations. As needed, with 1 week notice for available shifts.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
Valid Saskatchewan Drivers License
Comfortable driving a cargo van or 5T delivery vehicle (training provided if needed)
Reliable, self-motivated, and able to manage time effectively
Strong organizational and communication skills
Can use a smartphone for navigation and updates
Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, or more if needed
Work with the Operations Manager & Head Driver to ensure efficient and smooth deliveries
Engage with community partners in a friendly and professional manner, representing CHEPs values of food security and community support
Operate CHEPs delivery vehicle responsibly and follow all safety guidelines
Clean driving record and completed criminal record check
