Weyburn Housing Authority has an opportunity for a permanent, full time Maintenance Technician to join their team. If you are ambitious and skilled in building and property maintenance, we'd love to hear from you!
This is a front-line position that requires the ability to promote positive working relationships with management, staff, and tenants with respect for people's diversity and individual differences.
Main responsibilities of the Maintenance team are to deliver building maintenance services and repairs, vacancy preparation, grounds keeping and maintaining housing authority equipment and inventory. The ideal candidate will have experience servicing and repairing building mechanical equipment, ability to use hand and power tools and lift heavy loads. Knowledge in the trades including carpentry, plumbing, heating, mechanical, painting, electrical, and grounds keeping work are key assets.
A Grade 12 education, basic computer skills, training in the trades along with hands on experience in a maintenance and repair OR an equivalent combination is required.
A valid driver's license is a condition of employment and the successful applicant will undergo an Enhanced (Vulnerable Sector) Criminal Record Check upon hire.
The position works 40 hours/week and participates in an on-call rotation.
