Description

Day Camp Supervisor is responsible for the overall operation and safety of day camp, overseeing all aspects of daily activities, including planning and implementing programs, supervising staff, ensuring the well-being of participants, maintaining a positive environment, and adhering to all safety regulations while actively engaging with children during day camp hours.

Duties:
Active involvement in the operation and delivery of the summer camp programs
Designing, planning and implementation of day camp programs
Supervising staff with guidance of the Recreation Coordinator
Assist with responding to parent questions and concerns to ensure customer satisfaction
Prepare the attendance lists and track attendance (sign in/sign out sheets)
Ensure programs run on schedule and all required supplies are purchased
Review, complete and follow up on incident reports and report to Recreation Coordinator

Requirements:
Experience teaching or working with children in a camp or school setting would be considered an asset
Excellent people skills and a friendly, responsible, service-oriented attitude
High energy, self-starter
Strong communication and teamwork abilities
Up to date criminal record check

Physical Demands:
Being physically fit to work with children and adults
Being able to sit, stand, walk, squat, kneel, and jump
Being able to hear distress signals and noises
Being able to perform the physical requirements of the camp

Weather:
Being exposed to sun, rain, cold temperatures, and wind
Being exposed to inclement weather while leading outdoor activities
Being exposed to indoor temperature changes
