Description

Reporting directly to the Director of Community Based Health Services, the Community Based Supervisor is responsible for overseeing community health services including the development, ongoing delivery, and implementation of critical home care health programs by leading, supervising, and providing guidance to the Family Health Worker, Community Care Aide and Home Health Aide programs.  This position supervises approximately 9 positions.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
* Bachelors degree in education, social Work or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
* Minimum of (3) years of experience with experience supervising others.
* Previous education and experience in management and program supervision.
* Demonstrates an understanding of the social determinates of health and how they may impact First Nations people.
* Knowledge and demonstrated application of community development practices.
* Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information and documents exercising confidentiality, discretion, good judgement, and exercising tact, courtesy, and diplomacy at all times.
* A successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
* Above average organizational and communication; both written and verbal skills; are required.
* Previous working experience with First Nations people and demonstrate an understanding of the health and social issues encountered by First Nation people and a willingness to learn about and accept First Nations cultures.
* Ability to work in a team environment as an effective team player.
* Valid Class 5 drivers license.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Excel), Publisher, and Teams.
* Demonstrated ability to handle highly sensitive information and documents exercising confidentiality.
* A successful criminal record check with vulnerable sector.
