Description

The Provincial Capital Commission is looking for an energetic individual to assist in planting and maintaining the flower beds and planters within Wascana Centre and Government House as a seasonal Horticulturist. This is a manual labour position working outdoors and includes the operation of related equipment. You will be working independently as well as part of a team. The typical season would be April to September.

You will have basic knowledge of the care and maintenance of a variety of plants and flowers.

You will have the ability to:

- Perform outdoor physical labour and to work in a safe manner;
- Operate required equipment competently and safely;
- Understand and follow verbal and written instructions; and
- Establish working relationships with staff and members of the general public.

Experience in a greenhouse or nursery setting would be an asset. Candidates must also possess a valid class 5 driver's license.
